Hot Summer
Wow, what a hot summer the Seattle area is having this year. Over 100 degrees. What is going on??? I want my cooler weather back. Does anyone out there feel me on this???
Thank goodness I have air conditioning. You see, the homes here are not built with central air. But we bought a window air conditioning last year. It has come in real nice when you have potential customers coming over to get their makeovers.
Yes, I said makeovers. I help brides look like movie stars in their Wedding photos. I use, in my opinion, the best skincare and cosmetic line to make these women look absolutely beautiful.
The one item every woman needs in this heat is Beauty Blotters. A fine thin piece of Linen paper to absorb exess oil and perspiration without disturbing your makeup.
Find these at www.marykay.com/karen_jamison they sell for only $5

Keep your makeup from melting down in the Summer
Foundation-
Use less, the less you use the less it will run throughout the day. Now you don’t have to go bare. Use an oil-free tinted moisturizer instead, and apply with a damp sponge. Your foundation will have a smooth uniform look, because a sponge is more porous than your fingers.
Or use a mineral powder if you tend to have really oily skin. It will help absorb excess oil leaving skin with a more polished look.
If you start to perspire or your skin gets wet. Use a blotting paper to absorb the excess oil and perspiration. Do not rub, you will erase your foundation and cheek color. Simply blot.(try the Mary Kay linen blotting papers $5)
You can purchase them at www.marykay.com/karen_jamison

Mascara Tips:
Use black mascara on the upper lashes and brown on the lower ones, because brown looks less harsh.
Make certain you coat the inside corners and the very outer corners of your lashes. These are the two areas that many women miss.
Two to three thinly coats of mascara are far more effective than a single clumpy one.

Sunburn
Wow I got a sunburn on July 4th on my shoulders and was really worried about peeling. But I faithfully used the Mary Kay After-Sun Replenishing Gel every morning and evening. And I have not peeled at all. So if you hate to peel after getting to much sun, this is the product for you.

Choosing Eye Makeup Colors
Eye Color
You want to choose a color that contrasts your eye color
Grey eyes are really pale in color and need depth around them to make them glow
Hazel eyes are a combination of colors so you should pick the color you want to bring out
Amber eyes should be considered green when choosing colors
What you are wearing
Put on your makeup as though you are wearing white and then layer a color that complements the color you are wearing over it
